Sagamu, Nigeria – The Remo Secondary School Sagamu Old Students Association (RSSOSA) has appointed Aare Wemmy Olumide Osude as the Director General of the 80th Founder’s Day Anniversary. The announcement was made by the National President of RSSOSA, Aare Adetola Olaonipekun EmmanuelKing, during a stakeholders' engagement in Sagamu.
Aare EmmanuelKing described Aare Wemmy Osude, who is also the Chairman of the Ilisan Development Association (IDA), as “a round peg in a round hole.” He emphasized that the appointment was the result of careful consideration and consultations, recognizing Aare Osude’s exemplary leadership, organizational expertise, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Remo Secondary School.
"The decision to appoint you in this capacity was taken after careful deliberations. Your emergence is a testament to your capacity as a resourceful leader, organizer, mobilizer, and manager of human and material resources. It is also a recognition of your commitment and laudable contributions to the progress of our dear alma mater. We trust that under your leadership, the 80th Founder’s Day Anniversary will be a remarkable and well-executed event," Aare EmmanuelKing stated.
In his acceptance speech, Aare Wemmy Olumide Osude expressed gratitude to the National President and the RSSOSA executive committee for entrusting him with such a prestigious responsibility.
"I am deeply honored by this appointment and the confidence reposed in me. In this capacity, I will represent the vision of the future for RSS. For entrusting me with this crucial role, I pledge not to let the RSSOSA body down, not to let the National Executive led by a capacity-driven President, Aare EmmanuelKing, down, and not to let my family down. I am fully committed to delivering an outstanding and historic 80th Founder’s Day celebration," he affirmed.
As Director General, Aare Osude will lead and coordinate various committees responsible for planning and executing the landmark event, ensuring a well-structured and memorable anniversary. The anniversary will hold in February 2026.
