On behalf of the Electoral Committee, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delay in finalizing the modalities for our upcoming elections scheduled for September 20th - September 22nd, 2024. This delay has been caused by technical issues we are currently addressing at the committee level to ensure global participation, as mandated by our constitution.
We kindly request your understanding and patience as we work through these challenges. We anticipate that all details will be finalized by the 27th of October, 2024.
We also expect our members in the diaspora (including the UK, Canada, North America, etc.) to submit the names of their representatives who will contest for the position of Vice President. Please ensure that these names are sent to us no later than September 27, 2024, so they can be included on the voting list.
Campaigning will commence on October 1st, 2024, and continue until October 15, 2024 (two weeks) across all RSSOSA social media platforms. Please note that campaigning after October 15th, 2024, will result in automatic disqualification for any contestant.
Voters education will take place from October 21st to October 25th, 2024, on all RSSOSA social media platforms. Voting will begin on October 25th, 2024, at 10 PM and conclude on October 27, 2024, at 10 PM, providing a 48-hour window for participation from our diaspora members.
