Meet Shittu Monsurat Ojuolape, a proud RSS old student whose creativity and determination turned a growing interest into a thriving business.
This week, we celebrate Shittu Monsurat Ojuolape, a proud daughter of Ogun State and a distinguished member of the Remo Secondary School Class of 2007/2013. Born on the 12th of February, Monsurat embodies the spirit of resilience, creativity, and determination that defines the Remo Secondary School.
Her academic journey began at RSS, where she laid the foundation for her future pursuits. She later proceeded to The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, where she studied Food Technology. Her love for innovation and hands-on creativity soon evolved beyond the laboratory and found expression in the world of entrepreneurship.
Today, Monsurat stands tall as a dedicated entrepreneur, the founder of a thriving business that deals in shoes, bags, and fashion accessories. What began as a casual interest gradually grew into a full-blown passion, fueled by her keen eye for detail and an appreciation for aesthetics. She believes that style is a form of self-expression, and her work allows her to help others express themselves confidently.
Her favorite food is Eba, and her favorite color is white, which she associates with peace, clarity, and simplicity. Her favorite quote, “A winner is a dreamer who never gives up,” perfectly mirrors her life philosophy, one that celebrates perseverance and the beauty of never surrendering to obstacles.
At RSS, Monsurat shared close bonds with Ifeoluwa, Lukman, Kehinde, Dayo, and Tolani, and together, they created countless memories that still bring smiles today. One of her fondest memories remains the hilarious Mile 12 experience, a moment that continues to stand out as a symbol of shared laughter and youthful adventure.
Her favorite teacher, Mr. Ajayi, played a significant role in shaping her academic curiosity, while Biology stood out as her best subject. Among all her classmates, Omotolani holds a special place in her heart as her best friend from those formative years.
For Monsurat, RSS will always be more than a school. It is a place that nurtured her dreams, taught her resilience, and gave her friendships that have stood the test of time. Her journey from the classrooms of Remo Secondary School to building her own business reflects the power of consistency, purpose, and belief in one’s vision.
As she continues to grow her brand and inspire others through her entrepreneurial journey, Monsurat remains a shining example of what it means to be disciplined, and determined to succeed.
